'Alfie' our happy accident.

We love talking to our customers, and one question we get a lot and I mean a lot "was do we do a walking sock without all the elastic at the top?"

At the time, the answer was no. But then we developed 'Alfie', and to be honest, it was initially aimed purely at people who may suffer from circulation issues or couldn't wear socks with too much elastic. Most walking socks have a lot of elastic in the welts, so we wanted 'Alfie' to be different and judging by the success and sales so far, we achieved just that.

But what really surprised us was that it is not only people who have to be careful for maybe medical reasons that are buying this sock, but everyone seems to love 'Alfie' whether they have a medical requirement for the sock or not. 'Alfie' is designed to have all the same performance traits as all our other great walking socks, such as our class-leading 'Leonardo'. But 'Alfie' was built with comfort being its main characteristic.

Our unique non-restrictive design offers superior comfort and support and will also help prevent constriction due to common foot swelling tendencies in diabetics. 

Depending on your specific activity needs, our fully cushioned terry foot bottom will give you maximum padding and protection on your daily walks and if you need to remain on your feet for an extended amount of time. 

Totally flat and smooth toe seams are used because not only are they more comfortable inside your shoes, but they minimise friction across the toes that can lead to blisters and sores. 

Our non-restrictive outdoor socks are perfect not just for diabetes or oedema sufferers but are great for anyone who finds standard walking socks just too tight and uncomfortable.

Made from Wool and Bamboo blended yarn, these socks will give you a luxurious feel but are also a great insulator and will ensure your feet stay toasty and warm, even in the coldest conditions, but will also regulate temperature to keep your feet from getting sweaty on warmer days.
